Had a great stay in The Treehouse. We are a family of four with two kids. Wouldn’t recommend it for kids younger than 5 because of the stairs. Clean and comfortable. Excellent for the money. Nice and helpful manager. Good enough kitchen and the grocery on the island, within walking distance, had a surprisingly good selection. Five minutes from the door you can be in the water, snorkeling on near shore reef.

Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My family (Myself, spouse and three adult children) stayed at The Tree House from January 2, 2013 through January 9, 2013. We had an excellent stay at The Tree House. It is perfect for a family vacation in the very relaxed, and very fun, island of Guana Cay. The property is clean and exactly as shown in the VRBO listing, and in the associated video and photos. The local property manager, who we all came to adore, is likely one of the most generous and helpful persons on the planet, and helped make our stay a wonderful one. Before we came to the property I spoke with the owner who, like the manager of his property, is a charming, knowledgeable, and wonderful individual. My entire family, without hesitation, recommends The Tree House for a vacation stay. My wife and I had the second floor loft bedroom suite, which was very nice. You can see all the action on the first floor. The stairs up to the loft do require some care going up and down because of the low ceiling at the top of the stairs. A funny sign up there recommends you “Watch Your Noggin”. Good advice. The two first floor bedrooms were perfect for my single son, and for my married son and his wife. The kitchen reminded me of a cozy rental cottage kitchen that you’d find in the North Woods of Wisconsin or Minnesota. It was well supplied with everything we needed to cook family meals, which we did 2-3 times. The deck is a great place to have your morning coffee, or afternoon Kalik Beer. It’s a great reading spot too. You are only 100 yards or so from the beach and, when we were there, we were often the only people on the mile long beach. What luxury! Since the property is in The Settlement, it is a short walk to places such as Nippers (Do not miss the Sunday Pig Roast!), Grabbers (Great Beach!), Pirates Cove (Great dinner platters and a fun Tiki Bar), as well as any grocery or libation shopping you need to do. The island of Guana Cay was exactly what you think a relaxed tropical island should look like. The residents were always friendly, and they really are a community happy to welcome you during your stay. On Sundays the island can be busy because of the great party at Nippers, but the rest of the time it was so quiet that we felt we had a tropical paradise (82 degrees every day!) all to ourselves. We enjoyed the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling among other activities. Most of all, we enjoyed the people and the ambiance of the island. It really is “Gooder in Guana”!

My husband and I revisited one of our favorite places in the world – Great Guana Cay. The Tree House was perfectly located and complete with all amenities necessary for a great vacation. Two minutes walk took us to the most beautiful beach imaginable and two minutes in the other direction took us to the harbor and then on to Nippers (beach bar, grill and restaurant) where we were greeted and treated to the most beautiful view of the reefs and ocean and great food and drinks served by the host and his affable bar tenders. The photos on the website accurately portray the rental and it was clean and neat. Even with its central location, the Tree House provides plenty of privacy if needed. The manager and her husband were very accessible for any need we had. I highly recommend the Tree House for your next vacation. You will encounter the most gracious hosts in the Guana people along with a perfect location at the Tree House.

Owner response: Eddie and Dick Thank you so much for your positive review. We loved having you here in Guana Cay, and hope you will return soon. The Treehouse will be ready and we will be waiting for you. In the meanwhile, enjoy Arizona! Unni

The Three house was as described and more. Photos and videos accurately reflected the rental property. The owner responded to all my questions before we left. What a great place to spend honeymoon. Beaches are incredible and people friendly. A trip to dive site with captain Troy and his mate Matthew (Dive Guana) is a must. What a great and professional service. Rental property keeper who lives on the island was so nice, helpful and went beyond her scope of work. Sunset in Grabbers amazing while swinging in hammock. Nippers pig roast was a lot to digest. Pirate Cove a great place to hang out and chat with locals or your wife, free wi-fi included plus free call to U.S, overlooking the harbor. I would recommend the property to my friend or family in a heart beat!
